When Honda released the Fit EV in 2012, Honda announced that only 1,100 Fit EVs would be available over the following three years. Buyers could also only lease it for three years, but now that many of those original leases are now close to done, Honda has announced that it is extending the lease option for another two years.

The Acura TLX is unique in the that it's an all new model, yet technically replaces two. By being affordable, feature filled, and versatile, it's going to offer a ton of value making your forget all about the TSX and TL before it. What it will remind you of though is... an Audi. Honda has just revealed the most powerful Type R model yet - the all-new Civic Type R. With a new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder under the hood, the new Civic Type R packs 305 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque. The new engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, but unlike the Golf R or Focus RS, the Civic Type R sends all its power to the front wheels.

It's being reported that Honda filed a trademark with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office last week to protect the name "CDX." Acura has revealed that it is looking at the idea of selling a version of the small Honda HR-V crossover, which would likely be called the CDX to align with the naming structure of the RDX and MDX crossovers.

Tokyo has set a goal of putting 6,000 vehicles on the road by the 2020 Olympics, which will see the city spend up to $385 million on fuel cell vehicle subsidies and hydrogen stations. Tokyo plans to build 35 stations and is in negotiations with Toyota and Honda, since both automakers plan to release new fuel-cell vehicles within the next year.

This week two supercars debuted at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show - one was expected, but another stole the show. It had been rumored that Ford was working on a new GT supercar and Ford started the Detroit Auto Show off with a bang by pulling the covers off the new GT, unfortunately the dust hadn't settled by the time that Acura pushed the start button on the 2016 NSX. For the most part it seemed that most of the media at the show was more excited about the Ford GT, but Acura may have something else up its sleeve to put the NSX on top - the NSX Type-R.
