Ford announces plans for F-150 Hybrid, Mustang Hybrid and 300-mile electric SUV

Ford made a big announcement this morning by revealing its plans to introduce more electrified models, including an F-150 Hybrid, Mustang Hybrid and Transit Custom plug-in hybrid. The models, plus a new 300-mile range fully electric SUV are part of 13 new electrified models that Ford is going to release over the next five years.

Back in 2008 when Hyundai revealed its new luxury, rear-wheel drive Genesis sedan, Hyundai grabbed the industry's attention. Could Hyundai, which for years had been known building budget-minded models, actually make a luxurious vehicle that could compete with the best from Germany and Japan? Now almost ten years later, Hyundai has finally decided to break off its luxury Genesis and Equus models into their own sub-brand, appropriately named Genesis. Honda will release a new dedicated hybrid in 2018

Now that the Honda Insight and CR-Z models are gone, Honda is finally getting serious about electrified models. The revamp started with the revised Accord Hybrid, which will be followed by the Clarity Fuel Cell and the Clarity Electric and Clarity Plug-in hybrid models that are going to arrive this year. Honda has now confirmed that a new dedicated hybrid will be added to the lineup next year.

EPA claims that FCA used emissions cheating software on the diesel Grand Cherokee and Ram 1500

The dust still hasn't settled from VW's diesel scandal, but now another automaker may be using similar software in the U.S. to get its diesel vehicles to pass emissions requirements. The EPA is claiming that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is using emission control devices on the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ram 1500 to help them pass emissions tests.

Leaked video reveals the 2018 Ford Mustang GT!

Ford hasn't unveiled the updated 2018 Mustang, but a leaked video has given away all the exterior updates. Most of the exterior updates take place at the front, where the 2018 Mustang gets new headlights, a restyled hood and a new bumper. The rear also gets updated taillights.
