Audi is upgrading the RS 3 Sportback, with many of the same upgrades that the RS 3 sedan debuted last fall. That means that the 2018 RS 3 Sportback now packs 400 horsepower!
The RS 3 Sportback is powered by a 2.5 five-cylinder engine that delivers 400 hp – 33 hp more than the outgoing engine and 354 lb-ft. of torque. The upgraded engine is 57 pounds lighter thanks to its aluminum crankcase and a few other changes. The five-cylinder is mated to an S tronic seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and quattro permanent all-wheel drive. The 2018 RS 3 Sportback is able to sprint from 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph, but upon request it can be increased to 174 mph.

The RS 3 Sportback does get many of the same styling changes as the rest of the A3 lineup, which includes new exterior lighting and a restyled front bumper.
Sadly Audi has no plans to bring the RS 3 Sportback to the US, but we will get the sedan version later this summer.
