The CrossBlue concept is powered by a hybrid powertrain that mates a 190-hp TDI Clean Diesel Engine to two electric motors, a 54 horsepower electric motor powers the front and a 114 horsepower electric motor is mounted at the rear. The electric motors are powered by a 9.8 kW lithium-ion battery, which gives the concept enough power to travel up to 20 miles in full electric mode.
