Volvo's Entire Lineup Will be Overhauled by 2017

While we wait for Volvo to officially unveil the all-new 2015 Volvo XC90 SUV on August 26, a new report claims that Volvo’s entire lineup is going to be revamped by 2017.

While we wait for Volvo to officially unveil the all-new 2015 Volvo XC90 SUV on August 26, a new report claims that Volvo’s entire lineup is going to be revamped by 2017.
The beginning of Volvo’s new lineup will start with the XC90, which is the first model to ride on Volvo’s new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA). But next year a replacement for the S80, will arrive wearing an S90 badge. The new flagship sedan will be larger than the S80 and will be aimed at the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. A coupe version is also a possibility.

A V80 or XC80 wagon/ crossover version is also expected sometime in 2015.

In 2016 a new XC60 SUV will arrive, which may get a Polestar performance version. Fast forward to 2017 and replacements for the S60/ V60 will arrive and a new V40 with new variants will also be introduced.
