Yesterday it was reported that Volkswagen of America was changing its name to Voltswagen of America. Immediately we thought it was an April Fools joke, but then when the company officials claimed that the change was real, we kinda believed it. Well now it looks like it really is a hoax and a weird attempt for VW to highlight its growing EV lineup.
A new report by Reuters claims that the whole Voltswagen thing is not real and that Volkswagen is not changing its name. It’s believed that VW will tell the truth on Wednesday when it announces that the whole thing has been a marketing stunt. Yup we’re equally as frustrated by the whole debacle.
Well once we get passed this Voltswagen mess, the good news is that the ID 4 electric crossover is here and VW has already confirmed that a production version of the ID Buzz electric van will arrive in 2023.
