Last week Volkswagen confirmed that it will launch a production version of the electric I.D. Crozz concept in 2020. Now VW’s design Boss Klaus Biscoff has confirmed to Auto Express that the brand will introduce a second electric SUV after the I.D. Crozz debuts.

VW I.D. Crozz Concept

The second electric crossover will borrow styling cues from the current T-Roc and Tiguan crossovers, with a higher roofline compared to the more coupe-like I.D. Crozz. According to Auto Express, the second electric crossover will also arrive by 2020. Both electric crossovers will also be powered by two electric motors, one at each axle that will generate a combined output around 300 horsepower. Both crossovers will also have a driving range around 300 miles.

VW has also confirmed that the production version of the I.D. hatchback will officially start rolling off the production line in 100 weeks, by the end of 2019. If you’re holding out until the microbus-inspired I.D. Buzz arrives, you’ll have to wait until at least 2022.
