This teaser video shows off two camouflaged ID hatchback prototypes. While most of the details are covered up, we can see that the production version will at least keep some styling cues from the concept.

It’s also being reported that the ID hatchback will arrive with two battery options, with the longest range version having a driving range around 342 miles on the WLTP test cycle. The cheaper version will reportedly have a driving range around 200 miles.

While VW hasn’t revealed the pricing for the ID hatchback, a VW exec recently stated that the it will be priced about the same as Golf Diesel. VW will reportedly start taking reservations for the ID hatchback in spring 2019, while production will kick off by the end of 2019.
