VW has announced the updates to the 2019 VW Atlas, which starts at $31,890. The 2019 Atlas isn’t getting any styling changes, but there are some trim updates and added safety features.
All 2019 VW Atlas models now come standard with driver assistance technologies, like Front Assist, Blind Spot Monitor, and Rear Traffic Alert. The Atlas also now comes standard with automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and heated side mirrors.
The mid-level 2019 Atlas SE adds tri-zone Climatronic automatic climate control and Atlas SE w/ Technology models get a panoramic sunroof with Homelink garage door opener and 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. The 2019 Atlas SEL models add the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit, Media Control, LED taillights, Discover Media navigation, and a heated steering wheel.
Buyers can still choose either a 235-hp 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder or a 276-hp 3.6L V6. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and 4Motion all-wheel drive is optional.
