Volkswagen has announced that the production version of the seven seater CrossBlue crossover concept will enter production in 2016. The CrossBlue crossover concept was unveiled at last year’s Detroit Auto Show and according to sources the production version will look pretty close to the concept.
Prof. Dr. Martin Winterkorn, CEO of VW America confirmed that development of the new seven passenger SUV is already on and that VW still has a goal of selling one million vehicles per year here by 2018. We have set our goal: Volkswagen Group of America aims to sell one million Volkswagen and Audi cars per year in the US by 2018. We are taking up the challenge – with confidence, total commitment and the necessary staying power.”
