In 1990 one of the best Japanese sports car, ever was born, the 1990 Acura NSX. Honda created the ulitmate mid-engined supercar that showed the world that Honda had what it takes to play with the big boys. The NSX had the style, power and technology it needed to compete with the best that Japan and Europe could offer. The first NSX remained pretty much unchanged until it was discontinued 15 years later in 2005.
Fast forward to 2012 and Honda has committed to releasing a new NSX and has previewed it with the NSX concept. The next NSX is due in 2015 with a hybrid powertrain. Will Honda be able to recreate the success and love of the original? Only time will tell…
