Porsche has yet to release any details about its widely rumored new four-cylinder engines, but a new report states that there are at least three four-cylinder engines in the works: a 1.6-, 2.0- and 2.5-liter.
Porsche has yet to release any details about its widely rumored new four-cylinder engines, but a new report states that there are at least three four-cylinder engines in the works: a 1.6-, 2.0- and 2.5-liter.
The new four-cylinder engines will power the next-generation Boxster and Cayman models and according to Car magazine, the 2.0- and 2.5-liter versions are already confirmed. The 2.0-liter is reportedly going to have around 286 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque, while the 2.5-liter will have a nice 360 horsepower and 347 lb-ft. of torque.

The smaller 210-hp 1.6-liter engine is expected to be used by a smaller sports car that has yet to be approved for production.
