Toyota has dominated the news today with debuts, like the 2022 Corolla Cross and the GR 86. Toyota is also celebrating the U.S. debut of the Toyota bZ4X concept, an electric crossover, which is going to arrive in 2022.

Toyota has not released any new info about the bZ4X, but we do know that it was developed together with Subaru and rides on a new e-TNGA platform. The bZ4X is about the same size as the RAV4 and will compete with other EVs, like the Volkswagen ID.4 and Ford Mustang Mach-E.

“Roughly the size of a RAV4, with the versatility to stand apart from other BEVs, it will be well-positioned in the sweet spot of the market,” said Lisa Materazzo, group vice president of Toyota Marketing.

The bZ4X is just the first model from the upcoming bZ (Beyond Zero) sub-brand, since Toyota plans to offer seven models with the bZ name. Toyota is also planning an additional eight dedicated BEVs, bringing the total to 15 by 2025.
