Toyota has been pretty quiet about the launch of the new Toyota Supra, but Tetsuya Tada, chief engineer of the Supra, has revealed that the Supra will arrive in early 2019. The Supra will share its DNA with the BMW Z4 and even be powered by a 3.0L BMW six-cylinder engine.

What else do we know? A recent report claims that the 3.0L turbocharged six-cylinder engine will generate 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft. of torque. The new Supra will also not be offered with a manual transmission. If the same reports are accurate, the Supra will be able to reach 60 mph in around 4.5 seconds.

Lastly we’ve also heard that the new Supra will arrive with a pretty high price tag, with pricing starting at $63,500. This is likely for the six-cylinder version, since there is another rumor that a cheaper 2.0L four-cylinder powered Supra is also in the works.

Stay tuned.
