Toyota originally unveiled the FT-1 concept at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year and now Toyota has released two new versions of the concept. The first shows the concept in a new Graphite color with a saddle leather colored interior and the second is a high-performance digital race version that will be available in Gran Turismo.

The FT-1 in graphite is nearly identical to the original concept, which was originally shown in red. The original also had a black interior, which Toyota says looks more “authentic” with the saddle leather interior.

“From the start of the FT-1 project, we wanted the driver to have a feeling of flow while at the wheel – to be able to focus on the road and nothing else,” said Sellene Lee, the Calty creative designer who proposed both color concepts. “In the color studio we help create the atmosphere of the vehicle, and our aim was to ensure everything supported the driver through efficient choices. The saddle leather maintains that same ‘in the zone’ driving intention, while bringing in a more premium feeling.”

In September an ultra high-performance race version of the FT-1, called the FT-1 “Vision GT” will be available for Gran Turismo 6. The graphite FT-1 will also be available for the game as well, for a limited time.
