The Scion tC is completely new for 2011 and now comes word that Toyota is working on a more potent TRD version of the coupe. 7Tune recently spoke to Toyota’s Chief Engineer, Masayuki Nagai, where the engineer confirmed that Toyota is indeed working on a TRD version.

The TRD version of the tC will receive revised bodywork, suspension, exhaust and handling characteristics. The good news is that the base TRD version will come in at just over $18,000.

There is no word on when we can expect the TRD tC to be released, but the 2011 tC will be available in October.
