Toyota is just starting to finally add Apple CarPlay connectivity to some of its 2019 models, but Android users have been waiting for Toyota to announce when Android Auto will be available in its vehicles. Well it looks like it’s coming soon, since a source has revealed that an announcement about Android Auto could come as soon as next month.

2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Review

Speaking to Bloomberg, an inside source revealed that Toyota will soon support Android Auto, which is not only good news for Google, but also the vast majority of Android smartphone users. While Apple CarPlay is already available in some models, like the Toyota C-HR and Corolla hatchback, Toyota has been cautious about adding Android Auto, due to safety and security issues.

Toyota isn’t the only automaker that isn’t offering Android Auto yet, since BMW and Porsche also only offer Apple CarPlay.

Stay tuned.
