The 2013 BMW 7 Series has been updated with a refreshed exterior, interior tweaks and powertrain upgrades like a new 8-speed transmission.

The 2013 BMW 7 Series has been updated with a refreshed exterior, interior tweaks and powertrain upgrades like a new 8-speed transmission. BMW has just announced that the 2013 740i starts at $74,195, the ActiveHybrid7 starts at $84,895, the 750i starts at $87,195 and the 760Li starts at $140,200.

Under the hood the 2013 740i and 750i models get updates that provide more power and fuel efficiency. The 740i is now powered by a 3.0L TwinPower Turbo with 315 horsepower, while the 750i is powered by a 4.4L V8 with 445 horsepower. The 760Li continues with the same V12 engine. The ActiveHybrid 7 swaps out the previously used V8 for the same 3.0L six-cylinder in the 740i. The ActiveHybrid 7 packs a total 349 horsepower and on the European cycle it’s 14 percent more fuel efficient than the 740i. For 2013 all BMW 7 Series models get an 8-speed automatic transmission.
