Subaru is bringing an updated 2018 Legacy to the Chicago Auto Show next week, which is getting a slightly updated exterior, more tech and some suspension tweaks.

Subaru is bringing an updated 2018 Legacy to the Chicago Auto Show next week, which is getting a slightly updated exterior, more tech and some suspension tweaks.
You probably will have a hard time seeing the changes, but the 2018 Legacy’s face now has wider grille openings, a new bumper and new headlights. There are new wheel designs and two new exterior colors, Magnetite Gray Metallic and Crimson Red Pearl. Lastly the rear of the 2018 Legacy gets a new tailpipe design integrated into the lower fascia.

Under the skin, the 2018 Legacy gets a retuned suspension, to reduce the initial impact of bumps while also reducing body roll through turns. The electric power steering has also been re-tuned for a smoother response.

Inside there are upgraded materials and an available 8-inch display screen. The 2018 Legacy gains the brand’s latest Starlink Multimedia system with Bluetooth wireless capability, iPod control, smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Buyers can still choose between a 175-hp 2.5L four-cylinder boxer engine or a 3.6L 6-cylinder boxer engine with 256 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque.
