Tesla has announced the pricing for the Tesla Semi, which debuted last week. The Tesla Semi will be offered in two versions, with the 300-mile range version starting at $150,000, while the 500-mile version starts at $180,000.
Just like the new Tesla Roadster, the Tesla Semi will also be offered in a limited edition Founders Series version. The Founders Edition starts at $200,000 and requires the full price up front to reserve it.
As of right now the prices are expected, which means they could change. To reserve a Tesla Semi, Tesla requires a $20,000 deposit, which is four times the deposit that was stating during the reveal.
If you missed the reveal, the Tesla Semi is expected to arrive in 2019. Not only does it have a driving range up to 500 miles, but it can also reach 60 mph in five seconds without a trailer. With an 80,000 pound load, the Tesla Semi can reach 60 mph in 20 seconds. Lastly new megachargers will be able to add about 400 miles of range in only 30 minutes.
