Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced that Tesla is going to unveil a fully-electric semi truck in September, which will then be followed by a pickup truck in less than 2 years.
Elon Musk took to Twitter to share the news about the semi truck, “Team has done an amazing job,” Musk stated. “Seriously next level.”
We don’t have any other details about the cargo hauling electric semi truck, but Musk did state before that the truck will “deliver a substantial reduction in the cost of cargo transport, while increasing safety and making it really fun to operate.”

In addition to being fully electric, the semi truck will also feature SAE Level 4 autonomy that will give the driver the ability to rest in the cab while the truck drives itself.
