Tesla hasn’t mentioned that much about the Tesla Model Y since it revealed the first teaser almost a year ago, but now we have an update. According to a new report, Tesla is hoping to start production of the Model Y in November 2019.

Reuters received tips from two sources that claim that Tesla is gearing up for production of the compact Model Y crossover and is now starting discussions with suppliers for the Model Y’s parts. Tesla hasn’t given the suppliers to many details other than the fact that the Tesla Model Y will enter production by the end of 2019.

We have yet to even see the Model Y, so the target date might seem a bit ambitious. Also if we consider the fact that Tesla is still trying to ramp up production of the Model 3, which will share its platform with the Model Y.
