From the front, the updated Model S now has a face that is closer to the look of the new Model S and the Model X crossover. The more slender grille bucks the large grille trend that almost every other automaker is doing and it makes sense, since the Model S doesn’t really need a functional grille. The front fascia also gets new LED headlights.
Inside there are upgraded materials and new front seats, plus a medical-grade HEPA air filter.
It was rumored that Tesla was going to unveil a new 100 kWh version of the Model S, but that isn’t the case, since the powertrains carry over unchanged. A new 48 amp charger should help reduce charging times.
