Next month we will finally see the Toyota FT-86/ Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ rear wheel drive coupes, but more details are starting to surface now. According to sources that spoke with Autocar, the Subaru BRZ will pack more power than the Toyota version.

How much more power? The Subaru BRZ is reportedly going to pack “less than 300 horsepower,” while the FT-86 is only expected to have around 200 horsepower. Both coupes are going to be powered by a 2.0L boxer engine, but thanks to a different ECU, the Subaru coupe will be the powerful of the two coupes.

The Subaru BRZ will also differ from the FT-86 with a unique grille and bumpers. A roadster version is also a possibility in the future.

Come back for all the details from the Tokyo Motor Show next month.
