Mercedes-Benz has released spy photos of the upcoming SLS AMG Roadster before the car’s official unveiling at the Frankfurt Motor Show this fall. The pre-production model that is shown in these photos is barely wearing any camouflage with the bare minimum only covering the badges and the front and rear lights.

The roadster version of the SLS AMG loses the gullwing doors from the coupe and gets a folding cloth top that opens or closes in only 11 seconds at speeds up to 31 mph. Mercedes claims that the weight gain due to the convertible top has been kept to a minimum. The SLS AMG Roadster will be powered by the 6.2L V8 with 563 horsepower and 479 lb-ft. of torque.
