Scion has announced the introduction of the 2012 xD Release Series 4.0 (xD RS 4.0) and xB Release Series 9.0 (xB RS 9.0) models at the 2011 State Fair of Texas.
The 2012 Scion xD Release Series 4.0 comes standard in a Blizzard Pearl color and gets 16-inch alloy wheels that are finished in smoked platinum. The Blizzard Pearl color is also used on some interior trim pieces like on the center console, steering wheel and door panels. The Release Series logo has also been applied to the floor mats. Scion is only going to produce 800 units of the xD RS 4.0 with pricing starting at $16,250.
The 2012 Scion xB Release Series 9.0 comes in a Hot Lava color and the front fascia gets a unique honeycomb lower grille. A unique feature is that the Scion badges on the front and rear of the car illuminate when the car is unlocked. The xB RS 9.0 also gets perforated synthetic suede front and rear seats with an embossed Scion logo. Scion is only going to produce 1,500 units of the xB RS 9.0with pricing starting at $18,110.
