Rimac continues to show the performance potential of electric vehicles and now it’s upped the ante even more with the debut of the Nevera R at Monterey Car Week.

Rimac Nevera R

The Nevera R is powered by four electric motors that generate a combined 2,107 horsepower, compared to the 1,914 hp in the standard Nevera. As you’d expect, with that much power on tap, the performance specs are amazing. It can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 1.74 seconds and 124 mph in a mere 4.38 seconds. Want to go even faster? It can accelerate up to 186 mph in 8.66 seconds and do the 1/4 mile in 8.23 seconds. It has a 256 mph top speed.

The Nevera R also gets new torque vectoring for the electric motors, carbon ceramic brakes, Michelin Cup 2 tires and an updated suspension with more negative camber. The large fixed rear wing, combined with an aggressive aero package that includes a new large diffuser, boosts downforce by 15% and aerodynamic efficiency by 10%.

The upgrades reduce understeer by 10%, lateral grip is up by 5% and the lap time around the Nardo Handling Track is reduced by 3.8 seconds.

Nevera only plans to build 40 units of the Nevera R each with a price tag in the seven figure range.
