Yesterday Porsche took the wraps off the restyled 2019 Porsche Macan in Shanghai. The updates include updated front and rear fascias, plus plenty of new tech features, like a new 11-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. At the 2019 Macan’s debut Porsche did not reveal when it will be offered in the US, but Porsche’s US website has been updated where it states that it will arrive in the US by next summer.

While we have to wait a year for the updated Macan to arrive in the US, Porsche also didn’t reveal the powertrain specs for the 2019 Macan. Luckily Motor1.com Germany was able to get some answers on the side lines at the reveal. It was rumored that the base Macan’s 2.0L four-cylinder would get a nice horsepower boost, but it doesn’t look like that is happening.

Porsche spokesman Ben Weinberger revealed that the base Macan will continue to be powered by the same 252-hp 2.0L four-cylinder, which has actually been downgraded to 245-hp in Europe due to the more stringent Euro 6d-TEMP regulations. the 2019 Macan S will be getting a slight upgrade to 354-hp, which is up 14 horsepower from the outgoing Macan S. Specs for the Macan GTS were not revealed, but since the Macan S will now be pretty close to the GTS, it will likely get more power as well. Lastly the 2019 Macan Turbo will get the 440-hp biturbo 2.9-liter V6 from the Cayenne S.
