Land Rover has confirmed that the upcoming Range Rover Sport SVR will be the most powerful Land Rover ever produced and although it’s not quite ready to unveil it, a prototype is slated to debut this weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The Range Rover Sport SVR will be the first model to wear the new SVR designation, which will be worn by all future high performance models. This weekend a camouflaged prototype of the Range Rover Sport SVR will give spectators a chance to experience the sights and sounds of the most exhilarating Land Rover ever produced. The Range ROver Sport SVR is powered by Jaguar Land Rover’s 5.0L supercharged V8, which generates 542 horsepower.
We can also expect a long list of other upgrades, including Recaro bucket seats, a stiffer suspension, and a retuned eight-speed ZF automatic.
The Range Rover Sport SVR is slated to arrive sometime in 2015.
