Toyota is now telling its dealers that they are free to drop the brand from their showrooms.
Currently about 1,000 of the 1,225 Toyota dealerships in the US carry the Scion brand, butToyota now feels that number is too high. Toyota has decided to let dealerships drop the Scion brand without any penalties. Is this a sign of Toyota’s dying faith in Scion?

The Scion lineup continues to age and Toyota hasn’t officially announced any new additions to the lineup. There have been reports that the Scion FR-S convertible is still a possibility and it’s also being reported that a small crossover could eventually be added to the lineup. There have also been reports that Scion may be repositioned to target new entry-level luxury buyers in the $25K price range.
