No One Wants the Nissan Cube but Nissan isn't Killing it

Nissan only managed to sell 198 units of the quirky Nissan Cube in October, but the automaker plans to continue selling it.

Brian Carolin, Nissan North America’s senior vice president for sales and marketing stated, “It’s a niche product that has found its place in the market. It benefited particularly when gas prices were spiking earlier this year, and we were struggling to get a supply of it. We had a lot of demand for it.”

The Nissan Cube starts at $14,470 and competes primarily against the Scion xB. The second year it was sold in the US, Nissan sold almost 23,000 units, its best year yet. So far Nissan has only sold around 14,000 units this year, which is partly due to the Japan earthquake in March.

Do you think Nissan should kill the Cube?
