Having just refreshed the Nissan Rogue for 2024, Nissan is looking to strengthen its off-road cred with the Project Rugged Rogue. It’s one of three Nissan vehicles being displayed the 2023 SEMA show, which opens on Halloween at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

For the Rugged Rogue concept, the automaker tapped a number of NISMO off-road parts starting with a custom NISMO Off Road 3-inch suspension lift kit, while adding 18-inch NISMO Off Road wheels shod with Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003 tires. Next, Nissan fitts a dual center-mounted exhaust, before dressing it up with carbon fiber fender flares, a rear spoiler, roof rack, 6-inch round driving lights, front bumper guard, rock rails, Yakima Highroad mountain bike rack, hood-mounted 4-inch driving lights before mounting a kayak to its roof.

Inside, the cabin is upgraded with NISMO Off Road high-performance neoprene seat covers, NISMO carbon interior lower door trim, retractable pet divider and all-season floor mats.

Power for the Rugged Rogue will not excite NISMO fans; its a three-cylinder, 1.5-liter, variable compression turbocharged engine rated at 201 horsepower and 225 pound-feet of torque.

But certainly this little truck’s look does excite. Just check out those body graphics. Clearly, this isn’t your sister’s Nissan Rogue.
