The unveiling of Nissan’s GT-R supercar is right around the corner. The car has yet to enter production and there is already a waiting list. Some of those buyers on the waiting list may be looking to flip the Nissan GT-R to make a profit, but they may have to think again.
Nissan’s vice-president of marketing, Jan Thompson, stated that Nissan is considering voiding the warranty on the GT-R for second owners if the transaction takes place within one year of the original purchase. Nissan hopes that voiding the warranty will discourage buyers from flipping the car for a profit. The final decision will be made before its official unveiling at the Tokyo Auto Show this fall.
