Even though Volvo is refreshing most of its lineup for the 2014 model year, the automaker has some big plans for the 2015 model year and beyond. Next year Volvo will unveil the all-new 2015 XC90 crossover, followed by a new S80 sedan and a V80 wagon and a smaller 2+2 coupe dubbed the C80.

All four new models will be built on Volvo’s new Scaleable Platform Architecture. They will be powered by Volvo’s new family of VCA four-cylinder diesel and gas engines, which can be mated to a manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. Volvo has no plans to offer anything but a four-cylinder engine in its models, which means there will be no V6 or V8 engines offered. The four-cylinder engines will range in power from 140-280 horsepower.

The next XC90 is not expected to be a huge departure from the current model, which is previewed by the sketches here. The new S80 and V80 models will arrive sometime in 2015, while the C80 coupe will be a bit shorter than the sedan and wagon models, but will be just as wide.
