The next-generation Nissan Rogue is slated to arrive sometime next year and Nissan is already getting ready for an increase in demand for its small crossover. Nissan has reportedly invested $160 million to produce the next Rogue at Renault Samsung Motors factory in Busan, South Korea.

Sales of the Rogue have been increasing and two years ago Nissan decided to move production of the Rogue from Japan to one of its U.S. plants since the high yen was hurting Nissan’s profits. Two years ago sales in the U.S. totaled just under 100,000 units, but last year Rogue sales reached almost 125,000 units and Nissan expects that total to increase to at least 150,000 this year. To be able to keep up with the demand for the Rogue, Nissan will build the Rogue at its Tennessee factory in addition to plant in Korea.
