The all-new 2015 Hyundai Genesis is going to have its world debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show in January. Brandon Ramirez, a senior group manager of product planning at Hyundai recently confirmed the news to Edmunds.
Details about what we can expect from the new Genesis remain scarce, but it is expected that the exterior will feature the an evolution of Hyundai’s fluidic sculpture design language. The interior is also expected to be upgraded with a richer-looking design and materials. Hyundai is also going to up the Genesis’s performance with a sportier ride and available all-wheel-drive.
Many people expected the HCD-14 Genesis concept that was unveiled earlier this year to be a preview of the next Genesis, but Hyundai continues to state that it is not. Instead certain design elements from the HCD-14 Genesis concept will eventually show up in future Hyundai models. Although the HCD-14 Genesis concept is not a preview of the next Genesis sedan, the HND-9 Coupe Concept is a preview of what we can expect from the next Genesis coupe.
