It’s already been confirmed that Toyota and Subaru are working on a new RWD coupe that will be sold both as a Subaru and Toyota. Well now reports are surfacing that Toyota’s version of the RWD coupe will actually be sold under the Scion brand as the replacement for the current tC.

Scion definitely needs some new models to renew interest in the brand. A RWD coupe could be just the thing the brand needs.

The new coupes will use Subaru mechanicals and Toyota is handling the styling. The base coupes are expected to be powered by a 2.0L 4-cyl with 200-220 horsepower. A top model is rumored with as much as 300 horsepower and AWD.

The coupes are expected to be released in late 2010 as 2011 models.
