When Ford unveiled the Ranger Raptor, we hoped that it would be offered in the US, but sadly Ford decided not to bring its off-road midsize pickup here. Well if a new report is accurate, the good news is that the next generation Ford Ranger Raptor will be offered in the US.

Australia’s CarExpert has reportedly received a tip from sources that are familiar with Ford’s product plans, that the next-generation Ranger Raptor is bound for the United States.

The report also claims that the US-spec Ranger Raptor will be powered by a 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 with 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. In other markets the next generation Ranger Raptor will be offered with a 2.0-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder and a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6. All three engines will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Ford has yet to confirm the latest report, so stay tuned.
