GM has already announced that the automaker has postponed plans to redesign its large SUVs, so what does that mean for the next-gen Cadillac Escalade? Well GM may build the next-gen Escalade off the same platform as the Acadia, Outlook, Enclave and Traverse crossovers.

GM has also cancelled plans for the V8-powered Buick Enclave Super, which could make its way under the hood of a Lamda Escalade. The main question is will GM make the Escalade look just like the other Lambda crossovers? Well if GM does give the new Escalade the greenlight expect it to have very different styling than the rest of the Lambda lineup….something edgy like the CTS.

Wonder what’s going to happen to the Escalade EXT? Well GM is rumored to be considering a unibody pickup to replace the Escalade EXT and Chevy Avalanche..something along the lines of the GMC Denali XT concept.
