It’s being reported that the next-generation Buick Regal is going to be introduced sometime in 2017 with the biggest update being that it is going to be built by GM’s Opel division in Germany.
The current Regal is already basically a rebadged version of the Opel Insignia, but it is currently built in Oshawa, Canada. The plant also produces the Chevy Camaro, Cadillac XTS and Chevy Impala, but the future of the plant is uncertain, with GM already stating that it does not want to make any future investments in the plant.

With production of the next-generation Camaro expected to move to Lansing, Michigan and the Impala already being produced at GM’s Detroit-Hamtramck plant, the Regal’s production could also move. According to sources, a new Regal is expected to arrive in mid-2017, which is expected to be produced at Opel’s Russelsheim, Germany plant.
Opel pretty much confirmed it last March with this statement:
“The Rüsselsheim plant has been chosen for the assembly of a future model which will be sold in the U.S. under the Buick brand name.”
