Audi recently released the pricing for the 2019 A7, but what we’re waiting to hear more about is the next-generation Audi RS 7. Prototypes of the next RS 7 have been spotted being tested at the Nurburgring, but now we’re learning a bit more about what Audi has planned for the next RS 7.

Auto Express is reporting that the next-generation Audi RS 7 will be Audi’s most powerful model yet. The standard RS 7 will reportedly be powered by a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 with around 600 horsepower. But if you want even more power, the Audi RS 7 Performance will take advantage of a new plug-in hybrid powertrain that will mate the 4.0L V8 to a 140 horsepower electric motor. The powertrain will be similar what powers the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-hybrid, which has 680 horsepower.

If the latest report is accurate, the next Audi RS 7 Performance will be able to reach 62 mph in around 3.5 seconds, making it one of the quickest Audi’s yet.
