Next year Ferrari is going to replace the 599, with a replacement that could have up to 700 horsepower.
According to one insider, “If you look at where we went from the F430 to the 458, and from the 612 Scaglietti to the FF, it is not hard to see where we want the next 599 to be. We are not looking for a small step.”
Another source claims that it’s entirely possible for the next 599 to have 700 horsepower, since the motor in the FF puts out 651 horsepower, which is 120 more than the old 612 Scaglietti.
The next 599 will be powered by a version of the 6.3-liter V12 that is also currently used by the FF. The engine is based on the original 599/ Enzo engine and is capable of 850-hp in the FXX Evoluzione.
Although the FF has all-wheel-drive, the next 599 will stick with a rear-wheel-drive setup.
