Lexus has confirmed that the small UX crossover concept is going to enter production, as the brand looks for ways to attract younger buyers. Lexus executive Yoshihiro Sawa revealed the news during an interview with Motoring last week at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

Sawa didn’t reveal too many details, but he did state that it should arrive soon. It’s expected that the UX will borrow some, if not most of its parts from the new Toyota C-HR. In the U.S. Lexus has also already filed trademarks for the “UX 250” and “UX 250h” names, which means that there will be gasoline and hybrid powered versions.

When the UX does arrive it will give Lexus a much needed rival to models, like the BMW X1 and Audi Q3.
