It’s being reported that Honda filed a trademark with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office last week to protect the name “CDX.” Acura has revealed that it is looking at the idea of selling a version of the small Honda HR-V crossover, which would likely be called the CDX to align with the naming structure of the RDX and MDX crossovers.

A production date has not been announced.
