Neumann told reporters at the Frankfurt Motor Show that the automaker is looking into the possibility, but nothing has been decided yet. Buick’s latest Opel model, the Encore is sold as the Opel Mokka in Europe. The possibility for future Opel models for the Buick brand is part of GM’s latest attempt to sync the two brands.

GM CEO Dan Akerson stated in June that the Adam would be a good fit for the Buick lineup, but the biggest problem is that the minicar wasn’t designed to meet U.S. regulations. If GM does decide to bring the Adam to the U.S. it will have to wait until Adam gets its first redesign, so that it can meet U.S. safety standards.
