Ferrari is giving the Ferrari California a small facelift for the 2013 model year. To get us ready for its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, next month, Ferrari has released a couple photos and some specs.

There aren’t really any changes to the outside, but under the hood the 2013 California is getting a power upgrade. The 4.3L V8 now puts out 490 horsepower and 373 lb-ft. of torque, an increase of 30 horsepower and 26 lb-ft. thanks to new exhaust manifolds and a tweaked ECU. Ferrari also managed to put the California on a diet. The 2013 California is now 66 pounds lighter. The additional power and lighter weight means that the California is now 0.2 seconds faster than the last model with a 0-62 mph time of only 3.8 seconds.

Ferrari has also put together a new optional Handling Speciale package, which includes modifications to the suspension to reduce body roll. The steering ratio is also 10 percent quicker.

Come back for more info from the show next month.
