Mitsubishi is barely still around, but the automaker has big plans that will hopefully breath some life back into the brand.

Mitsubishi announced a new global plan last week that includes the introduction of six new plug-in hybrid and electric models by 2015. The bad news for Eclipse fans is that by 2013 Mitsubishi plans on discontinuing the slow selling Eclipse, Galant and Endeavor SUV. The move is part of Mitsubishi’s plan to focus on smaller models.

The first Mitsubishi electric model, the i-MIEV will arrive this November with a starting price below $30k.
