Mini Rocketman Reportedly Gets the The Go Ahead for Production

Mini unveiled the Rocketman concept at the Geneva Motor Show in March and immediately rumors started to circulate that the small Mini concept could enter production. Well there are now new reports that indicate that the Rocketman is headed for production.

According to Auto Express, the Mini Rocketman could officially enter production as early as 2014. The Mini Rocketman would be smaller than the current Cooper line and create a new entry point to the Mini brand. The smaller Mini could also introduce three-cylinder engines and an electric version is also planned.

The smallest Mini will only be a few inches longer than the original Mini from the 1960s and feature a similar 3+1 seating layout as the Toyota iQ.
