Manual transmissions continue to disappear across the industry with only a small percentage of vehicles being for the “save the manual” fans. Mini stopped offering a manual transmission earlier this year, due to supply chain constraints, but now it’s back.

2023 Mini Cooper

Mini has announced that starting with vehicles built in November, the manual transmission is an option on the 2023 Hardtop Cooper, Cooper S and John Cooper Works models.

For the 2023 model year, Mini is dropping the Cooper Classic trim level, which makes the Signature 2.0 as the base model with a $28,600 starting price. Mini says that supply chain constraints were the reason the affordable Classic trim.

Other updates for the 2023 model year include the addition two new exterior colors: Melting Silver III and Nanuq White.
