Automakers try really hard to keep their new models under wraps until they are officially unveiled, but that usually doesn’t stop spy photographers from trying to get the best shots of the prototypes. Well Mercedes-Benz has beat them at their own game by releasing its own set of photos of its upcoming 911 competitor.

The car is codenamed C190 and from these spy photos its clear that the successor will take styling cues from the larger SLS AMG, like its long hood and rearward cabin. One difference is that this model will not feature gullwing doors. It’s not known what will power the 911 competitor, but it is being rumored that it could get a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with around 500 horsepower and the Black Series model could have around 600 horsepower.
